摘要：
The problem of optimal maintainability allocation has been tackled using the geometric programming method. A series system subject to cost constraint is assumed. The posynomial form of Tillman et al.'s curve has been used for the cost vs maintainability function. To illustrate the technique, a numerical example is given.
