摘要
In this comparative study we tried to correlate the results obtained by two different approaches: the co-existence of membrane domains with different ordering, evaluated by reconstruction of the experimental EPR spectra, and the permeability coefficients obtained by the EPR kinetic imaging method. We found that the size and permeability variation with temperature of the coexisting domains contribute to the overall permeability for a small spin labeled molecule into the root tissue. The chilling resistant corn genotype is able to sustain constant permeability increase with rising temperature at approximately the same level as the chilling sensitive genotype, though by smaller alternations in size and permeability of the domains.
