摘要
Satellite TDMA communication systems were for many years reserved exclusively for medium- and high-rate digital transmission services. Today, with the development of more efficient transmission techniques, these networks can also use low rates, which in turn leads to lower equipment costs. These networks are now a viable alternative to more conventional systems available for satellite-based national and rural telephony applications.
