摘要
This investigation deals with the mixing conditions during the medium consistency (MC) ozone stage carried out with a laboratory high shear mixer. The pulp for these trials was an (OF) prebleached spruce kraft pulp. The mixing conditions were examined at constant as well as at different ozone charges by varying the mixing time and mixing speed of the high shear mixer. Additionally, the effect of a second mixing treatment at lowered rotation speed was investigated after initial intensive mixing of the pulp suspension with the ozone - oxygen gas. This treatment led to an increased ozone consumption which had a delignification improving effect. A slight change of the strength properties of the ozone bleached pulp due to intensive mixing was noticed.
