摘要
Aluminum metal matrix has become a prominent material for aerospace, structural, defence, and other industrial applications in recent years. Because of its distinct characteristics, including as strength, rigidity, low weight, and great wear resistance. Traditional reinforcement is a more cost-effective option. Fly ash is one of the readily available industrial by products that can help to lower the composite's cost. The MMC is prepared in a variety of ways, but the stir casting approach is utilised for bulk manufacture. The removal of surplus material from a work item is referred to as machining. The use of optimization strategies is one of the most difficult jobs due to a significant shift in the manufacturing industry's scenario. The function of optimization in the production process is critical in meeting stipulate. Major reason of this study is to evaluate the process factors affect SR and MRR. This proposed work will determine the impact of process variables on SR and MRR, as well as to use Grey relational analysis and Topsis to link process variables such as speed, feed, and depth of cut to output parameters. Nine trials were carried out in order to establish the optimal condition and alternative. The best option for MRR and surface roughness is to use Grey relational analysis with the parametric settings at depth of cut and feed varying at level 2 and Feed at 1st level. In line with the aforesaid experiment, Topsis was used to undertake the same analysis, and the results were compared to Grey Taguchi. Copyright (C) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
