The Body In Kazakh Riddles

In the Kazakh riddles, the body, especially the human body and its organs are oftenly used materials. Human's curiosity to acknowledge himself in apparent and esoteric ways caused to existence of riddles about the body. Riddles which describes and characterizes the body and by implication the human, are the most in number after the parts of material culture in the Kazakh folk literature. Kazakhs not only mentioned the human's organs, but also displayed their skills in describing animals with animals' apparent characteristics in their riddles. Besides this, while mentioning in their riddles the most used goods in daily life, they make use of the human body as similitude element. These matters are explained in our study with some examples.
