Press, politics and medicine in Buenos Aires. A study of La Abeja Argentina, 1822-1823

摘要
This paper analyzes the newspaper La Abeja Argentina published in Buenos Aires between 1822 and 1823. The main thesis is to demonstrate that the content and themes developed in this paper were functional to reformist and republican political project proposed by the Buenos Aires authorities. Through this publication, it was intended to disseminate scientific knowledge, enlightened and civilized, with a popular type of language towards building a more skilled public and informs policy state from acquiring and disseminating medical discourse. Thus, in this article permanently intersect three aspects: medical knowledge, politics and the role of the press.
