Audiovisual translation: Interview with Nebojs']jsa Cvetkovic, translator of Radio Television in Serbia

Translation activity in Serbia, its cultural environment and its historical development present a quite unknown research field in Spanish and European academic world. Serbia is a country which developed a subtitling tradition, the primary translation modality which is used in the case of all kinds of audiovisual mediums (film, TV, DVD) and all audiovisual genders with an exception of cartoons and documentary movies, as well as in almost all types of numerous programs which are broadcast by Cable TV. In this interview with Nebojsa Cvetkovic', this experienced translator reveals some issues of his work in the field of audiovisual translation in the national TV station - the Serbian Radio Television, and talks about the present situation, the past and the future of this profession.
