ISOPIESTIC STUDY OF SALINE SYSTEMS .5. LI2SO4-NA2SO4-H2O SYSTEM AT 25-DEGREES-C

Isopiestic method has been used to study the binary systems Li2SO4-H2O and Na2SO4-H2O and the ternary formed from the two salts and water at 25 degrees C up to concentrations of about 2,5 m. The osmotic coefficients were determined and the parameters which allow to evaluate the activity coefficients of the components of the binary and ternary systems were calculated. For the binary systems the Hamer-Wu's and the Fitter's methods were utilized and for the ternary system the MacKay-Perring's and Fitter's methods were used.
