摘要
As a corollary of the theory proposed in previous papers on the foundation of the phenomenon of emission and absorption of light quanta by the hydrogen atom, the idea of ″local time″ to hold the electron in its stationary obrits arose naturally by calculating a coefficient ( DELTA f/f)**n similar in all aspects to the relativistic coefficient in a homogeneous accelerating field, such as the gravity field, of the order of 10** minus **2**8. However, such a coefficient approaching unity (0. 7500)**n could only be obtained in a field 10**2**8 that of gravity in the surface of the earth, namely the intratomic ″electrostatic field″ . The present paper affords the necessary evidence to postulate that ″spontaneous emission″ of an excited electron may obey such a principle, namely, that all species of radiations appearing in the line spectrum of the hydrogen atom constitute a relativistic red-shift phenomenon with a coefficient of 0. 7500, at least for the so-called radiations of ″single jumps″ . What was called a ″geodesic″ to hold the electron in fixed time orbits could be formulated in terms of ″relativistic local time″ . Other aspects and applications of such concepts are discussed. Reviewer's comments and author's reply are given.
