THE INVESTIGATION OF A PSYCHOANALYTIC PIONEER - EMPIRICAL-DATA ON THE CLINICAL-WORK OF FERENCZI,SANDOR

Ferenczi's work was evaluated using an empirical case evaluation instrument. Ferenczi's therapeutic work was rated positively, as an emotional-experiential process for the patient, and both he and the patient were seen as having very genuine and positive feeling for each other. Although the respondents rated Ferenczi's skill as quite high, they stated they would not want him as their supervisor or analyst. Possible explanations for this seeming paradox were offered and directions for further research were elaborated.
