摘要：
the objective of the present article is to analyze the domain of elites in the administration of the Kingdom of Navarre during Modern Age. This nobility was conformed by families that controlled most important positions of power, and managed most of the wealth of the territory. This combination of political and cultural power granted them a preeminent social status in the Old Kingdom. We consider in this paper, their aspiration to maintain this privileged of position and the fears of losing it. On the other hand, assess the reinforced their practices of social prominence as well as other strategies, related to the public career in the new context the Spanish Monarchy.
