SCALING AND THERMAL-EQUILIBRIUM OF HADRONS FROM Z(0)DECAYS

An analysis of secondary hadrons from Z0 (91) decays of the LEP experiments indicates that the scaling of x=2P/square-root s distributions implies the same temperature T= 0.261 GeV for all the secondaries. The multiplicities of Z0 --> pi, K0, eta,...XI, and OMEGA computed with their quark contents and the same T agree with the data. The ratio of (1/N dn/dy)0 to the phase-space covered by the rapidity distribution, depends only on the energy, approximately 1/E(cm)1/3, for e+e-annihilations and pBAR/p+p collisions as well.
