摘要
The Sete Voltas massif (Sao Francisco craton, Brazil) contains relicts of old grey gneisses (Rb-Sr and single zircon ages are 3.42 +/- 0.09 Ga and 3.394 +/- 0.005 Ga respectively) as enclaves in a plutonic complex whose ages range from 3.14 +/- 0.09 Ga (young grey gneisses) and 3.17 +/- 0.16 Ga (porphyritic granodiorites); these rocks are the oldest so far recognized in Brazil. The ages indicate that the crustal accretion in the Sao Francisco craton was not a continuous process but rather an episodic phenomenon. The I(Sr) suggest that if the oldest grey gneiss were of juvenile orign with few or not crustal contamination, the latter became more important in course of time.
