Public diplomacy today is a multidisciplinary field involving diplomats, journalists, international relations theorists, marketing professionals etc and that creates a wide variety of opinions and approaches. Besides, there are also bordering fields of cultural diplomacy and citizen diplomacy. Such a vivid variety of participants also leads to a variety of theoretical grounds. The article makes an attempt to find commonalities between theoretical approaches to public diplomacy s from different perspectives to understand its theoretical dynamics.
