摘要
The pulse evolution kinetics in a coupled-cavity mode-locked KCl:Tl colour-centre laser have been investigated. Typical pulse build-up times are in the 0.2-10-mu-s range depending on the intensity ratio of the feedback pulse to the main cavity pulse and the initial phase difference between the main and control cavities. Both control-cavity and pump-beam switching methods have been employed and a random delay in the starting time for pulse evolution has been observed in each case. Such experimental observations provide further insight into the primary mechanisms which determine the features of the coupled-cavity mode-locking technique.
