INTENSITY OF THE AVERAGE SOUND FIELD IN A SHALLOW SEA WITH A RANDOMLY INHOMOGENEOUS BOTTOM

摘要
The influence of internal volume inhomogeneities of sediments on the intensity decay law of the average field with distance in a shallow sea is estimated. The intensity of the average field is found to obey the r-4/3 law at r << r0, where r0 is a characteristic horizontal distance, and to obey the familiar r-3/2 law at r >> r0.
