CORROSION CRACKING OF HIGH-STRENGTH STEELS IN NEURAL MEDIA

摘要
Mass spectrometry, thermal desorption, and atomic absorption spectrometry are used to evaluate the dynamics of the redistribution of hydrogen at phase boundaries and inside the phases of high-strength steels in neutral media. It is found that the main phenomena defining the interaction of the liquid media and the surface of the metal are adsorption and subsequent exothermic chemisorption of solvent molecules on active sections of the surface. This facilitates redistribution of bonds of the solvent and subsequent discharge and occlusion of hydrogen by the metal.
