IS CESB A LOW-CARRIER DENSE KONDO SYSTEM

摘要
Various anomalous properties in CeSb are studied critically. It is shown that they are explained consistently by the formation of a partial magnetic polaron, which disappears with La substitution and is enhanced under pressure, and by a modified Kondo state through an anomalous p-d mixing. However, no Kondo effect is observable at low temperature.
