摘要
During the past ten years the automotive industry has undergone many changes, which necessarily have also affected the selection of the materials to be used. The most significant of these changes have resulted from the necessity to reduce the vehicles' fuel consumption and to meet the costomers' demands for modern designs. These needs have let to the development of vehicles with reduced weight and higher aerodynamic efficiency. And this development in turn has opened up an new chance for under-the-bonnet applications of plastics, among many other uses.
