摘要
The high temperature compression deformation behaviour of a gamma based alloy with the composition Ti-49 at.% Al has been studied. In connection with the stress-strain curve established at 900-degrees-C, TEM investigations have shown an increase dislocation density at the stress maximum and evidence for recovery and dynamic recrystallization taking place beyond the stress maximum. In addition, deformation twins, microcracking, destruction of lamellae as well as formation of nano-crystals were observed in strongly deformed specimens.
