摘要：

It is suggested that magnetic susceptibilities of transition metal complexes should be interpreted in terms of the magnetic moment and "polarizability" of each of the populated eigen-states. In some cases, these constants can easily be obtained from the temperature-dependence of the susceptibility. Data for Ru(NH3)(6)Cl-3 have been analysed and the ground state magnetic moment is in good agreement with that obtained from the E. S. R. spectrum.
