THE STEPPING MOTOR AND HIS STEP DURATION

In recent years Siemens has developed a new high-performance data processing printing system. Numerous stepping motors were used. During the development the question had to be answered how the intervals between the individual motor steps could be calculated, The use of digital electronics requires today a concrete answer to this question. Surprisingly the necessary considerations were by no means trivial and are presented in this paper.
