摘要：
Aminoglycosides remain one of the most prescribed antibiotics for the treatment of serious Gram negative infections, but their conventional twice or thrice daily dosing is actually a source of controversy, and the once daily dosing is now recommended. Bacteriological, experimental, and clinical arguments are convincing enough to allow the use of this new dosing in intensive care patients. Clinical efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and toxicities have been investigated in critically ill patients and reported in 3 studies, analysed and discussed in this paper.
