Elementary education in the Albacete's lands at the end of the Ancien Regime

Along this paper, we pretend to analyze the evolution of the educational system in the rural context of Albacete from the middle of the XVIIIth Century to the origins of constitutionalism. In order to do it, we have divided this work in three interrelated parts. In the first one, we go in depth in the knowledge of the number and typology of the educational institutions, its regional geographical distribution, its funding and its diachronic evolution during the selected time period. The second part is focused on the protagonist of the process, the teachers, paying special attention to its number and financial, professional and social situation. The third one is focused on the female teachers and the teaching of female students.
