SPECTROSCOPY OF VERY NEUTRON-DEFICIENT RE, IR AND PT ISOTOPES

摘要
Fundamental alpha- and beta-decay properties of far-off stability rhenium (A=166-170), iridium (A=171-175), and platinum (A=177-181) isotopes have been investigated. New isomers with half-lives in the range of seconds were discovered in Re-167,Re-169 and Ir-172-174. So far unknown beta-decay branches were identified by the detection of gamma-transitions in the daughter nuclei. An interpretation of ground- and excited states is attempted in terms of single-particle structure in deformed nuclei. Relative masses in the alpha-decay chains are revised on the basis of the newly measured alpha gamma-coincidence data.
