Xe-2* excimer fluorescence induced by two-photon excitation: Effect of high temperatures

摘要：
Experimental results on the temperature dependence up to above 1000 K of the Xe-2* VUV exciter emission lineshape around 172 nm is reported. The excitation is obtained in the center of a heated silica cell using two-photon Xe 6p state laser excitation. A very large effect is observed and compared to calculations using ab initio potential. Only qualitative agreement on the linesshapes is obtained. Further work is in progress.
