摘要：
Th is article is centred on how and with what objectives newsreels were created in Uruguay in the 40' s and 50' s. By emphasizing a comparison with similar experiences at regional and international levels, a general idea of the relationship between Uruguayans and the fi lm production is shown, as well as the place of newsreels. Finally, the article seeks to shed light on some of technical elements for the production of newsreels, both with respect to the materials used and the people involved.
