摘要
Magnetostriction and related properties of amorphous Fe78B13Si9 alloy ribbons prepared under various forming conditions, were investigated. Experimental results indicate that with increasing cooling rate, saturation magnetostriction λs and saturation magnetization σs decrease gradually, whereas with increasing melt temperature before jet casting, λs and σs increase a little. These results can vary due to different local atomic structures because of different forming processes. In addition, the magnetostriction behavior for different ribbon orientations for Metglas® 2605S-2 alloy was also investigated. The results reflect the symmetry of the local atomic structures in the plane of the ribbon. © 1990.
