摘要：

By comparison of the Bauschinger effect when the first load is in tension or compression, the thermal and the mechanical internal stresses in a metal matrix composite are measured and shown to be in good agreement with Brown and Clarke theory. The matrix whose grain size is very small is softened by the plastic deformation and the shearing of precipitates.
