摘要
In recent years, the improvement in microbiological diagnostic methods has caused the spectrum of infectious agents causing male urethroadnexitis to expand considerably. In addition to the well-known urinogenic enterobacteriae and enterococci and the sexually transmitted gonococci and trichomonads, Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum must now be considered particularly important etiologic agents that are sexually transmitted. Their cell biology and epidermiology, our diagnostic procedures, and the criteria of etiologic classification of male urethroadnexitis are described in detail. The recently developed quinolone derivatives offer new and promising therapeutic perspectives.
