SEASONAL DYNAMICS OF WEEVIL COMMUNITIES (COLEOPTERA, CURCULIONIDAE) IN LEAF BEARING CROWNS OF SALIX-FRAGILIS L

The author focuses on study of the crown stratocoenoses dynamics in Salix fragilis L. In the Small Carpathians (SW Slovakia) this tree species is most characteristic of the plant communities of brook alluvia belonging to the alliance Alno - Ulmion Br.-Bl. et Tx. ex Tchou 1948 em Th. Muller 1958. In addition to the abundance dynamics also changes in species number, diversity, eveness and dominance index of the weevil communities have been investigated. Special attention has been focused on the presence of topic and trophic groups of weevil imagines during the individual months of the vegetation period.
