THE ECONOMIC ESSENCE AND PURPOSE OF THE BANK'S RESOURCES

The paper studies conducted dirt scientific views the concept of "banking resources." Study of existing approaches and definitions for the disclosure of the concept. Based on the specific strengths and weaknesses in each of the alternative definitions authors own approach to determining the nature and role of banking resources both within the bank and for the banking system as a whole. The study analyzed the most common approaches to the definition of the "banking resources" and found a number of shortcomings in existing research approaches: some authors do not take into account all sources of bank resources formation, all other areas of the bank's use of resources, as some authors confuse the concept of "banking resources" and "resource potential". Thus, analyzing the existing definitions and considering their advantages and disadvantages should be used the following definition of "bank resources." Bank resources - a combination of tangible and intangible assets denominated in cash from a banking institution and used to conduct banking activities (the functions of the bank and banking transactions) for profit. The article deals with the role of banking resources in the economy due to the micro and macro aspects.
