The Justice in the discourse of the media

This work is part of the ongoing investigation on the transformations of the judiciary system in the province of Ccrdoba (Argentina) from the 9.182 Law of trial by jury. Specifically, we analyze all articles of La Voz del Interior published in 2004 related to this transformation. Discourse analysis tools are used to show how the press creates an image of ` who' has the legitimacy to judge and ` how' this should be done. It is considered that discoursive construction of subjects, objects, what is real, and what is desirable in the media, plays an important role in the process by which a social order is legitimated.
