摘要
A microassay fusion (MAF) using a lead collector has been developed at the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR which has significantly enlarged the scope of assay preconcentration. Neutron-activation microassay analysis (NAMAA), based on radiochemical MAF, allows one to determine 30 noble, rare, and scattered elements. The method does not suffer from 'background' contamination and is highly sensitive. The NAMAA method has been introduced for the attestation of standard specimens for gold and silver, the determination of gold and silver in rocks, ores, and concentrates, and for the establishment of a balance for these metals.
