摘要
The book contains a collection of articles concerning indigenous peoples and their claims to and contestation over rights to access, use, control and manage natural resources. Authors use various inter-disciplinary approaches to address these complex topics. Cross-cutting issues including strategies to increase visibility, accountability and valuation are raised by a number of the authors. While innovative, the book lacks an overall coherence: central concepts, including the subtitle 'global rights', are used inconsistently. Nonetheless, the book opens the door for new ways to explore the internationally recognised - but poorly understood - connections between indigenous cultures and natural resources.
