CONDENSATION OF WATER-VAPOR ON STONY SOILS OF THE KAZAKH HILLY PLATEAU

Significant condensation of water vapor occurs in the surface layer of skeletal stony soils of the Kazakh hilly plateau forming on dense parent material. This results from a combination of such factors as the high heat conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the soils, their loose, porous texture, and large diurnal temperature variations at the soil surface.
