Solid electrolyte potentiostatic technique was used to measure the oxygen diffusivity and solubility in metals in the systems Ni-NiO, Co-CoO, Fe-FeO and Mo-MoO2, of which the results were respectively: 3.14 x 10(-6) cm2/s, 0.94 at% (1393 K); 5.06 x 10(06) cm2/S, 0.56 at% (1393 K); 1.37 x 10(-6) cm2/s, 1.29 x 10(-3) at% (1397 K); 1.54 x 10(-6) cm2/s, 3.38 x 10(-3) at% (1395 K). From the above results it is concluded that the diffusion of oxygen in the solid powder electrode proceeds in the mode of ''gas transfer model'', and is the limiting step in the process of continuous oxygen determination of copper melt.
