The work of rural women from the perspective of environmental education

摘要
The woman, since former societies, was marginalized, treated as inferior, of male domination, without access to knowledge, considered unable of ratiocinate and participate in social, political or intelectual spheres. In this sense, the work aims to think about the modern society and the women's role from the environmental education perspective. Giving emphasis the work realized by the woman in rural area, checking his contribution in the search of a more egalitarian society from gender equity, thus looking -for alternatives to awareness of society about sustainable development. It is states that the role performed by the woman is bigger than be a mother or a housewife, being the owner of knowledge and protagonist in various struggles highlighted by society.
