Gay and heterosexual melt have similar types of sexual dysfunction. It is only in the last two decades that the effect of sexual orientation on the onset and maintenance of sexual dysfunction has begun to be addressed. In this review we discuss the differences in the aetiology, frequency and management of sexual dysfunction in gay men.
