摘要
The article proposes a discussion about the reflective groups with men reported for crimes listed in Law 11.340/2006 as a viable and necessary public policy in the context of confrontation of violence against women. Based on the experience of the reflective and accountability groups for men who practiced violence against women, developed at the NGO Coletivo Feminista Sexualidade e Saude, in Sao Paulo (SP), we seek to present the context in which such interventions are carried out. It's understood that, by supporting the reduction of violence against women, the reflective groups must also work as a mechanism to think about and construct other masculinities. Furthermore, we seek also to highlight the power relations in which the work with men and a relational approach, less characterized by the victim/aggressor duality, encounter resistance to be realised. Faced with these challenges, the article intends to reflect on the tensions around the implantation of reflective groups with men, observing: 1) the historical context in which the Law 11.340/2006 was promulgated; 2) the experience of the NGO Coletivo Feminista Sexualidade e Sade and other brazilian institutions working with men who practiced violence against women; and 3) the challenges implied in the proposition of this type of intervention as one of the actions in the confrontation of violence against women.
