In the 1990s we are witnessing new horizons in PM materials, processing techniques, and products. The North American metal powder industry is recovering from the harsh economic conditions of 1991 and is now highly active developing new materials, commercialising advanced manufacturing processes, and breaking applications barriers. Innovations - including a move to embrace 'particulate' materials in their widest sense, an emphasis on quality control, cooperation within the PM industry, and education are seen as keystones in ensuring a successful future for the industry.
