Merger Control Enforcement in Spain: An Ongoing Saga of the Assessment of Behavioural Remedies

Attached to them is the complex issue of assessing whether and, if so, to what extent such commitments are complied with by parties. On the basis of such an assessment, the failure to comply with merger-related commitments has been sanctioned in Spain-and in the case discussed here, the several fines, totalling a,not sign22,600,000, were imposed by the Spanish competition authority in the context of a single merger.
