摘要
A possibility is considered of eigenvectors decomposition of volume scattering functions for various oceanic waters. It is found that a good accuracy of approximation is achieved when only two eigenvectors are taken into account. The Atlantic and Pacific waters have their own different systems of two main eigenvectors which have a good stability in space and time. The difference between the systems is explained by the distinctions in the correlation properties of scattering. On the basis of the developed low-parametric scattering model the equations relating the scattering coefficient and volume scattering functions under some fixed angles are obtained and analyzed.
