Cultic materiality in pre-exilic Israel: Exegetical, archaeological and iconographical analysis of some cultic objects

The article highlights the presence of iconic and aniconic material worship in the Old Israel, usually taken as a religion of concepts and ideas by the advent of the "objectbook". Thus, an exegetical, iconographic and archaeological analysis of the remains of the ancient religion of biblical Israel is carried out, especially regarding these items: worship stones or massebot; high places or bamoth; aserah; and Ark of the Covenant. We intend to comprehend what the perception of materiality in the pre-exilic worship was.
