Violence in Young Couples. What is the Way Ahead?

Dating violence between teenagers and young couples constitutes a verifiable fact through research across our country and in the rest of western countries. This has lead to increased concern over the issue both by society and professionals. This article intends to review the literature in order to reflect on the subject so it leads us to help raise awareness of its importance, its impact on the health of young people and their present and future implications. Not to forget, its possible relation to gender violence, more seriously detected in more stable relationships. The state of affairs should promote sensitive and proactive educational institutions in terms of the implementation of prevention programs to review violent and sexist attitudes within our young and teenagers.
