Social Sciences, evangelicals and politics. A reading on the scientific production about evangelical political participation in democratic life in Argentina (1983-2010)

The present communication involves the reading of the scientific literature on the evangelical phenomena in Argentina and its intervention in the democratic era (1983-2010), reconstructing the argumentative lines and conceptual contributions of the most relevant thesis and books on this topic. This work intends to indentify the common denominators and differential points that characterize the historical, sociological and anthropological researches, as well as the investigative perspectives that enrich the knowledge of the participation of evangelical actors in the political words. Finally, the study accounts for the recent production of investigations focused on the insertion of evangelical actors in the political and/or political party sphere, and the connection that can be held between these investigations and former studies.
