摘要
Mar del Plata peri-urban conforms a heterogeneous and dynamic space, susceptible to many interventions that generate significant impacts with negative consequences on the exposed population. This paper evaluates the socio-environmental vulnerability of the Mar del Plata peri-urban in 2010, distinguishing critical sectors and principle aspects that determine the extreme conditions. To this end, it was built a Socio-Environmental Vulnerability Index (SEVI) and its spatial distribution was examined. The socio-environmental vulnerability refers to the conditions of the population and their environment to deal with adverse effects. The most critical situations (SEVI= 0.46-0.58) belongs to the peri-urban sectors that were defined by the 226 and 88 roads. The health, education and environmental dimensions determine the SEVI distribution. The methodological procedure employed allowed to determine critical areas, being transferable to situations with similar problems.
