摘要
This article related the promotion of equal opportunities in Portugal, in a citizenship framework, from kindergarten, and we aim to know the conceptions of childhood educators and of children in preschool age on the issue of equality in its educational context. To this end, we rely on reading and on the consequent analysis of the results of targeted research developed in five kindergartens in the district of Portalegre, Portugal. The studies, which we used as basis, are reported in a qualitative approach, in which the protagonists (educators and children) are observed and listened to by questionnaire and interviewing processes. We support our analysis on the theoretical framework we built from a review of the state of the art on the theme of equal opportunities for men and women and it is stressed that this is an undervalued issue in kindergarten context for labor, reflected on behaviors and stereotypical attitudes of children, so we were led in the end of this text to propose some activities to be developed in kindergarten context that promote equality and allow to deconstruct social stereotypes.
