摘要
Chaplains have an important role in delivering the messages to the addresses in religious services. Especially, to the chaplains have effective communication skills affect the quality of religious services possitively. Therefore, it should be targeted to gain the communication skills to chaplain candidates from undergraduate education. In this study, it is intended the investigation the relationship between the communication skills of chaplain candidates and different variables. The study is descriptive research. The sample group of this study is who studying 215 students in 1. And 4. class at Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Theology. Survey data were collected using "Communication Skills Evaluation Scale" consisting of 25 five - point Likert type items was used. As a result of analysis of the research findings, it was determined communication skills of chaplain candidates are positive level. Analysis of the research data revealed that a significant difference was found between the participant's communication skill perceptions and their gender, grade levels, high school type, type of settlement. In addition, no significant difference was found between the participant's communication skill perceptions and their economic situation.
